Yoga & Meditation Classes

“Yoga is not self advancement, self-development, self-empowerment, self-enhancement, or any other form of self-indulgence. Yoga, by whatever path or methodology, is always and only self-enquiry.”

Yoga is more than movement , it’s a practice that supports both body and mind. Physically, it enhances strength, flexibility, breath, circulation, and digestion, while calming the nervous system and building emotional resilience.

In a world that constantly tells us how our bodies should look, yoga offers something radical - presence. It invites you to be in your body, to feel rather than judge, and to reconnect with yourself breath by breath.

Through mindful movement and awareness, yoga helps you tune into your body’s signals, like hunger, fullness, and emotional cues, instead of overriding them. Over time, this cultivates a more compassionate and respectful relationship with your body.

Yoga teaches acceptance, not perfection. It invites freedom, including freedom from negative body image.

About Tammy

I’ve been practicing yoga since 1999 and teaching since 2008. To me, yoga is a way of life, as essential as brushing your teeth. It’s what helps me come back to my body, my breath, and a deeper trust in life.

I trained with Godfrey Devereux and mentored by Jo Kemp, two teachers who helped me see yoga as something much deeper than just movement. Over the years I’ve also trained in prenatal yoga, postpartum and fertility yoga, trauma-informed yoga, restorative yoga and the Embody Love Movement with Dr. Melody Moore.

For five years, I taught yoga in eating disorder and rehab clinics across Western Sydney. I have also worked with the Australian Cricket Team, and media personalities struggling with body image.

These days, I teach privately around the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, as well as at Yoga by the Sea (Bronte Surf Club) and Dharma Shala (North Bondi).

My classes are gentle, grounding, and designed to support you wherever you are, physically, emotionally, or energetically.
